Begin your trip with a delicious meal of barbequed meats at the cosy Log House Wagyu Bibi Restaurant. Feast on juicy, tender wagyu beef and more at this table barbeque restaurant, guaranteed to satisfy your taste buds.
Hokkaido is well known for salmon and at the Chitose Aquarium located right at the Chitose River, you can see wild salmon swimming upstream through a special observation tank in the river itself. During the salmon migration, you can also see salmon being collected by a large Indian water wheel at the aquarium, numbering up to 30,000 fish a day!

Take in the sights at Onuma Quasi-National Park this morning. Selected as one of Japan’s New Three Best Views, the sight of Mt Komagatake reflected on the still waters of the lake on a clear day is sure to take your breath away. This is all the more so when the surrounding trees are awash in the red and yellow hues of this season.
The unique star-shaped, western-style citadel of Fort Goryokaku was built during the Edo Period and now serves as public park. Ascending the Goryokaku Tower next to it, get an aerial view of the fort along with panoramic views of Hakodate and its surrounds.

Take part in a special Hakodate Activity today! The gateway of Hokkaido and one of the first places in Japan to open to international trade, Hakodate has a unique history which melds Japanese, foreign and native Ainu influences. Connect with some of the locals here and experience their hospitality!
If time permits, take a stroll around the sloping streets of Motomachi, the former foreign settlement area. The historical buildings here bear testament to the varied backgrounds of their builders with old churches and consulates creating a picturesque landscape.
As the sun sets, take a ride up Mt Hakodate on the Hakodate Ropeway to see one of the three best night views in the world! Enjoy the aerial views of the bay and colourful trees covering the mountain on your way to the breath-taking panorama from the top.

Start your morning with a trip to the Hakodate Morning Market. Over 250 shops and restaurants offer fresh seafood, vegetables, fruits, and souvenirs at this lively market. Try some of the specialties such as fresh sashimi from squid which you catch yourself!
Have a sweet treat and view of Hokkaido’s Fuji, Mt Yotei, at Lake Hill Farm, a gelato shop and restaurant on a small hill. Serving up 20 varieties of gelato made using milk from the farm itself, try the seasonal flavours made using locally produced fruits and vegetables.

Taking adventure of the autumn harvest season, go apple picking at one of Hokkaido's many fruit farms! Choose your perfect, crisp Hokkaido apple from the trees and eat it at its best, right in hte orchard itself!
Located in the Shikotsu-Toya National Park is Mt Usu, an active volcano that stands at 737 metres high. Take the Mt Usu Ropeway up the side of the mountain for a panoramic view of the spectacular autumn foliage-covered mountain and surrounding landscapes, along with neighbouring Showa Shinzan and Lake Toya.

Arguably the most beautiful of the many marshes and ponds around the Niseko Mountains, Shinsen Marsh is located on a plateau 750m above sea level. Taking a boardwalk through pathways of grass, birch, pine trees and other plants, the refreshing sight of the beautiful marsh opens out before you, reflecting the surroundings in its clear water.
Head to Otaru next and spend some time wandering round its quaint streets. A former major herring centre and the terminal station for Hokkaido's first railroad, the charming buildings that line the streets now house whimsical music box museums, patisseries selling mouth-watering creations, and intricate glassware ornaments.

A free and easy day in Sapporo awaits you! As Japan’s fifth largest city, Sapporo has developed rapidly into a bustling metropolis. Options for shopping are abundant, both above and underground, with multi-storey department stores such as Daimaru and Esta lining the streets, and a network of stores offering souvenirs, apparel, footwear, cosmetics, electronics, and more, underground. When you are satisfied with your shopping spree, stop by at the Ramen Republic for a steaming bowl of Hokkaido’s signature miso ramen to complete your Hokkaido experience. a day of theme park fun.
