Begin your day at a vast land of flower garden, you will first be greeted by the sea of blooming sage and marigolds at Hana Tento. More than 80,000 flowers bloom across the grounds that cover 3.5 ha of land at the foot of the mountain. Next up, Cape Notoro is one of the most famous scenic spots in the Abashiri area throughout the year. See the massive Sea of Okhotsk spreading out around you, as well as the majestic Shiretoko Mountain Range. If you are lucky you may even spot Steller's sea eagles flying above you!

Dubbed as Japan’s Loch Ness, Lake Kussharo is the biggest caldera lake in Japan. Along the lake shore you will find several outdoor hot springs and a sand beach with naturally heated sand. Lake Mashu is another caldera lake you will be visiting in the afternoon, and its water is ranked one of the clearest in the world. Known as “Kamuy-tou” to the Ainu people, which means “Lake of the Gods” in their language, the lake is dominated by sheer cliffs of over 300 metres in height all around. This has to be one of Hokkaido’s most breath-taking sights.

Featuring flowers coaxed to bloom under the summer skies over an area equivalent to 3 Tokyo Domes, you can fully appreciate the grand nature of Hokkaido today.

Nothing beats experiencing Mother Nature than getting up close and personal with her inhabitants. At the Sahoro Bear Mountain, visitors get to see Hokkaido's large brown bears roam free in the forest. With various trails, a bear point and bear watching bus, you will not be bored! Later on you will also pass by the Furano Jam Factory where over 35 different kinds of jam made from just about every fruit and vegetable in the area can be seen, tried and bought!
