Day 01 (Sun, 02 Dec’18)
Singapore – Chitose - Noboribetsu
(-/Lunch/Dinner)
Hotel: Noboribetsu Daiichi Takimotokan (hot spring) or similar
Arriving in Hokkaido this morning, our first stop will be at Lake Shikotsu to enjoy scenic views around the second deepest lake in Japan. This caldera lake’s crystal-clear waters often act as a mirror reflecting the snow-capped mountains that surround it. Take a relaxing stroll along its shores and surround yourself with the grandness of nature at this photogenic location.
Warm your tummies with a hearty feast of barbequed meats at Log House Wagyu Bibi Restaurant before shopping to your heart’s content at Chitose Outlet Mall Rera. Home to over 400 brands ranging from fashion to toys to household products, Hokkaido’s first large scale outlet mall is the perfect place for a shopping spree!
Stopping by at the Noboribetsu Hell Valley, you can see the source of Noboribetsu’s hot spring waters which you will get to enjoy tonight. With patches of barren landscape, clouds of steam spouting from vents, flowing streams of hot spring water and the heavy smell of sulphur permeating the air, it is not difficult to understand why this place is called “hell valley”.
Day 02 (Mon, 03 Dec’18)
Noboribetsu
(Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Hotel: Noboribetsu Daiichi Takimotokan (hot spring) or similar
Modelled after Denmark’s Egeskov Castle, Noboribetsu Marine Park Nixe is a theme park that is home to around 20,000 marine creatures and other animals of about 400 different species. You can watch shows put on by dolphins and sea lions, see penguins on parade, witness a ‘milky way’ of over 10,000 sardines and watch seals ‘fly’ through a vertical ring-shaped tank.
Moving on to a theme park of a different kind, Noboribetsu Date Jidaimura is a historical theme park showcasing life during the Edo period. Traditional style houses line the small street while staff in period costumes propel you back to that era. Enjoy various traditional games, activities and performances, and mingle with ninja and oiran courtesans! Challenge the ninja maze full of tricks and illusions and spend an enjoyable afternoon discovering Japan of the past.

Noboribetsu – Niseko
(Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

Take the Mt Usu Ropeway up the side of the mountain for a panoramic view of the spectacular snowy mountains and surrounding landscapes, along with neighbouring Showa Shinzan and Lake Toya.
Round off the day with a sweet treat at Lake Hill Farm, a gelato shop and restaurant on a small hill. Serving up 20 varieties of gelato made using milk from the farm itself, try the seasonal flavours made using locally produced fruits and vegetables.
Day 04 (Wed, 05 Dec’18)
Niseko – Sapporo
(Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Hotel: Keio Plaza Hotel Sapporo or similar
Start the day at Fukidashi Park and sample the sweet spring water that flows down from Mt. Yotei, Hokkaido’s Mt. Fuji. Nestled at the foot of the mountain, 80,000 tons of water filtered down from the peak gushes out each day. Don’t forget to do as the locals do and bring an empty bottle to collect some of it!
Head to Otaru next and spend the afternoon wandering round its quaint streets. A former major herring centre and the terminal station for Hokkaido’s first railroad, the charming buildings that line the streets now house whimsical music box museums, patisseries selling mouth-watering creations, and intricate glassware ornaments. Also worth checking out is Otaru’s sushi street, where only the freshest seafood makes it to the menu in every sushi restaurant along the row.
Get into a festive mood at the German Christmas Market this afternoon. Held in conjunction with the Sapporo White Illumination at Odori Park each year, the Christmas Market is a celebration of Sapporo’s sister-city ties with Munich. Filled with Christmas goods and activities, German food, and hot wine, experience the Christmas atmosphere here!
