Start off your holiday with a delicious meal of barbequed meats at the cosy Log House Wagyu Bibi Restaurant. Feast on juicy, tender wagyu beef and more at this table barbeque restaurant guaranteed to satisfy your taste buds.
Then, be entertained by horses at the Northern Horse Park. Home to around 80 horses of 12 different breeds, visitors can see, feed and interact with the animals at this horse themed park set against the natural scenery of Hokkaido. Not to be missed is the popular Happy Pony Show where the adorable ponies will delight you with their antics!
Stop by Hosui Winery later to pick up some Hokkaido wine. Producing handmade wine with grapes from their own vineyard, the wines available here are imbued with the flavour of the unique terroir. See how the wines are made and enjoy some ice cream overlooking the beautiful vineyards.

Asahikawa – Biei – Asahikawa

Explore the quieter side of Biei on a guided cycling tour through the countryside this morning. With the help of an electric bicycle, cycle through the farmlands and rolling hills of the idyllic Biei landscape and discover picturesque sceneries and lesser known areas beyond the tourist track.
More often seen in pictures, you can see the real Shirogane Blue Pond for yourself today. The azure blue of the water is caused by its mineral composition and makes a fascinating sight juxtaposed against its sombre grey trees and lush forests.
Feel like you are exploring a hidden village as you take a walk through Ningle Terrace afterwards. A collection of log houses dotted around a forest, each cottage houses a shop for specialty arts and crafts, often with the craftsmen themselves hard at work there. Spend a leisurely time wandering round the shops and enjoying the magical atmosphere here.
Day 03 (Tue, 10 Jun’25)
Asahikawa

Get active today by going trekking on Mt Tokachi! Located in the heart of the Daisetsuzan National Park, head up the volcanic peak where you can get bird’s eye views of the surroundings, discover mountain flora and fauna, and admire the still snow-capped peak up close on a beginner-friendly walk.
(Approx 2-3km walk, mild elevation)
Head to the popular Asahiyama Zoo next, where you will get to observe animals through unique display enclosures called “kodo-tenji” that allow visitors to see the animals from different angles and up close. Watch seals swim vertically through a glass tunnel, see leopards walk above you, or pop into glass domes in the middle of the polar bear and wolf enclosures for a close encounter with wildlife! Of course, the highlight is watching the penguins strut like stars down the zoo’s catwalk!
Day 04 (Wed, 11 Jun’25)
Asahikawa – Otaru

Driving along the coast in Rumoi, visit Cape Ogon, so named for the plentiful herrings that were lit up by the setting sun like gold in the past. Although the herring industry has since declined, the cape has retained its name and fame as one of the best places in Japan to see the setting sun.
Drop by Japan’s northernmost sake brewery, Kunimare Sake Brewery to try some of their delicious sake. Producing sake since 1882, Kunimare uses top quality rice, soft underground spring water, and traditional brewing techniques passed down through generations to create its well-loved sakes.
Salmon lovers should not miss out on a visit to Sato Suisan Salmon Factory. A beloved seafood producer in Hokkaido, Sato Suisan is known for its range of products using natural salmon. At the Salmon Factory, you can find all their signature products along with fresh and processed items which are only sold here.
Day 05 (Thu, 12 Jun’25)
Otaru – Niseko

Spend the morning wandering round the quaint streets of Otaru today. A former major herring centre and the terminal station for Hokkaido’s first railroad, the charming buildings that line the streets now house whimsical music box museums, patisseries selling mouth-watering creations, and intricate glassware ornaments. Also notable is Otaru’s sushi street, where only the freshest seafood makes it to the menu in every sushi restaurant along the row.
As you head along the coastal roads of the beautiful Shakotan Peninsula later, make a stop at Cape Kamui to take in its spectacular views of the magnificent cliffs jutting out into the sea. The picturesque rugged coast of the cape is breath-taking against the crystal-clear water in the shade of “Shakotan blue”.
Day 06 (Fri, 13 Jun’25)
Niseko

Play to your heart’s content at PURE at Niseko Village, a nature experience ground filled with all kinds of activities. Perfect for adventure seekers, go tree trekking on adventure courses through the canopy, speed down the rail slider or zip line, or experience free falling at the quick jump!
Give yourself a creamy and delicious treat at Milk Kobo later. Selling all kinds of dairy products made from milk from their own farm, Milk Kobo’s delectable desserts and ice cream are a must-try!
Driving round the scenic Niseko Panorama Line, drop by Shinsen Marsh, arguably the most beautiful of the many marshes and ponds around the Niseko Mountains, located on a plateau 750m above sea level. Taking a boardwalk through pathways of grass, birch, pine trees and other plants, the refreshing sight of the beautiful marsh opens out before you, reflecting the surroundings in its clear water.
Day 07 (Sat, 14 Jun’25)
Niseko – Sapporo

Start the day at Fukidashi Park and sample the sweet spring water that flows down from Mt. Yotei, Hokkaido’s Mt. Fuji. Nestled at the foot of the mountain, 80,000 tons of water filtered down from the peak gushes out each day. Don’t forget to do as the locals do and bring an empty bottle to collect some of it!
Then pay a visit to Jozankei Farm, a unique fruit orchard, garden and activity space where you can enjoy nature to the fullest. Stroll through the gardens to see the seasonal blooms, get active at the tree adventure course, and pick some strawberries which are in season at this time.
Cap off your drive with a shopping spree at Mitsui Outlet Park Sapporo Kitahiroshima. The biggest outlet mall in Hokkaido, shop for all your favourite brands at outlet prices at this large indoor facility.

A free and easy day in Sapporo awaits you! As Japan’s fifth largest city, Sapporo has developed rapidly into a bustling metropolis. Options for shopping are abundant, both above and underground, with multi-storey department stores such as Daimaru and Tokyu lining the streets, and a network of stores offering souvenirs, apparel, footwear, cosmetics, electronics, and more, underground. When you are satisfied with your shopping spree, head to one of the many eateries to have a steaming bowl of Hokkaido’s signature miso ramen, soup curry, or Genghis Khan barbeque to complete your Hokkaido experience.
