Arriving in Zürich this morning, you will travel out to Lucerne. Located along the shores of its namesake lake, take in the panorama of the mountains surrounding the picturesque town where tradition and modernity coexist. Highlights of the town include the Chapel Bridge, one of the oldest covered wooden bridges in Europe, and the Cultural Convention Centre, an architectural beauty designed by French architect Jean Nouvel.

Bern

The capital of Switzerland, Bern has retained much of its medieval atmosphere amid being the political centre of the country. With an Old Town listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, history, nature, culture and economy merge in the array of museums, attractions and shopping arcades that can be found in the city, wrapped by the bends of the River Aare. Go on a tour of the city this morning before some free and easy time this afternoon.
Day 03 (Mon, 21 Oct’24)
Bern – Montreux – Lausanne – Geneva

Leaving Bern this morning, you will visit what is arguably the highlight attraction of Montreux, Chillon Castle. Situated on a small island off the shores of Lake Geneva, this castle was a former toll station for people and goods transported between Italy and the rest of Europe and is now Switzerland’s most visited historic site.
Explore the picturesque town of Montreux afterwards. Located along the shores of Lake Geneva and backed by the Swiss Alps, the beauty of this small town has attracted many an artist, writer and musician over the years. Among the famous names associated with the town are Charlie Chaplin who spent the last 25 years of his life here and has a namesake museum, and Freddie Mercury who is immortalised in a statue here.
Moving further along the Swiss Riviera to Lausanne, make a photo stop at the “Olympic Capital” and host of the International Olympic Committee. See its Olympic Museum and large old town, along with the best-preserved Gothic cathedral in Switzerland.

This morning begins in Geneva where you will take a tour of this beautiful city located on the bank of Lake Geneva. Best known for being the headquarters of the United Nations, visit some of its popular sites, such as the iconic Jet d'Eau, the tallest water fountain in the world, St. Peter's Cathedral, and the Gothic Old Town.
After lunch, do some exploration of your own in the town with some free time to wander around.
Day 05 (Wed, 23 Oct’24)
Geneva – Les Diablerets – Saas-Fee

Les Diablerets is a village at 1,200m altitude next to the Swiss Alps where skiing and winter activities are available all year round. Taking a cable car up to Glacier 3000, you can witness stunning views of the surrounding mountain peaks and enjoy activities such as a snow bus ride and, for the brave of heart, Peak Walk by Tissot, the world’s only suspension bridge spanning two mountain peaks.
Day 06 (Thu, 24 Oct’24)
Saas-Fee – Täsch – Zermatt – Saas-Fee

Travel over to Täsch this morning where the magnificent Matterhorn comes into view. As the last point where automobiles are allowed, you will take a shuttle train from here up to Zermatt, the gateway to the Matterhorn where you can take in all the breath-taking views of the majestic mountain! Take the Gornergrat train up the mountain for some of the most spectacular views of the Matterhorn and have your lunch 3,100m above sea level. Especially noteworthy is the view from Riffelsee lake where the mountain’s peak is reflected on the water’s surface on a clear day.
Day 07 (Fri, 25 Oct’24)
Saas-Fee – Interlaken

Living up to its name which means “between lakes”, Interlaken is straddled by Lakes Thun and Brienz as well as the three grand peaks of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Considered as a base town for exploring the Bernese Oberland, this bustling small town boasts great views and a plethora of activities and sights within its reach. Arriving here today, spend a free and easy afternoon exploring the city’s sights.
Day 08 (Sat, 26 Oct’24)
Interlaken

Take a cogwheel train and Eiger Express gondola up the mountain to the “top of Europe” at Jungfraujoch this morning where breath-taking mountain views of 4,000m high peaks covered in eternal snow can be seen. With Europe’s highest altitude railway station at 3,454m, Jungfraujoch provides the best views of the Aletsch Glacier while attractions like an ice palace, restaurants, and the world’s highest Lindt chocolate store allow visitors to fully enjoy their experience up in the Alps.
Coming back down to Interlaken, have some free time to discover more of what the town has to offer.
Day 09 (Sun, 27 Oct’24)
Interlaken – Stans – Vitznau

Ride up the 1,898m high Stanserhorn this morning on the CabriO double deck cable car for a unique experience and more wonderful views of the Alps and Swiss lakes. Originally a funicular railway opened in 1893, the CabriO took over in 2010 with its open upper deck cable cars, giving visitors 360-degree panoramic views and the feel of the wind as they travel up the mountain.
Head over to Vitznau this afternoon where you can relax and unwind surrounded by quintessential Swiss scenery.

You will have a full day to enjoy the scenic town of Vitznau and refresh yourself today. Situated on an idyllic bay along Lake Lucerne with the “queen of the mountains”, the 1,797m high Mt Rigi, looming behind, this resort town offers a myriad of leisure activities. Explore its culture and culinary offerings on a walk, or horse-carriage ride, through town. More active visitors can choose to delve into nature and go on a hike on one of the many mountain trails at Rigi Klum, while those looking to relax can head to the mineral baths and spa at Rigi Kaltbad.

Vitznau – Schaffhausen – Zürich

This morning, make a stop at Rhine Falls, Europe’s largest waterfall, where an average of 700,000 litres of water plunges down a drop of 150m every second. Created by tectonic movements years ago, marvel at the natural beauty of the mighty waterfall!
Nearby is the picturesque medieval town of Schaffhausen, considered to be one of the most attractive in Switzerland. Ornate designs cover the facades of old buildings dating back to Gothic and Baroque times while the ring-shaped Munot fortress offers sweeping views over the city.

Spend the morning on a walking tour of Zürich, the largest city in Switzerland.
