Arriving in Kasane today, take an aircraft over to the Okavango Delta, the world’s largest inland delta system and home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. Here, you will stay at Sanctuary Chief’s Camp, the former royal hunting reserve of Chief Moremi now remodelled into a luxury retreat within a game reserve and regarded as one of the world’s top safari destinations. Take part in the many activities provided and relax in spacious pavilions where wildlife may be seen from the deck of your room.

Spend two free days at the retreat enjoying your safari experience as you wish. Go on morning and afternoon game drives in open 4x4 vehicles bringing you up close to roaming lions, leopards, antelopes, zebra, buffalos, and perhaps even rare wild painted dogs which are now extinct in most parts of Africa. Or opt for a gentler excursion on a Mokoro, a local dugout canoe used by river bushmen, through the flooded delta where you can encounter hippos and crocodiles from a different perspective. At night, do some stargazing from the plains of Botswana where light pollution is minimal, or learn more about the local culture through fireside talks.

Enjoy one last game drive this morning before taking a flight to Kasane and heading to Victoria Falls. Upon arrival, have a rest before proceeding for a Sunset Cruise on a Zambezi Explorer Boat. Admire the golden sunset over the Zambezi River from the comfortable deck of the boat even as you watch wild animals flock to the river for a drink in the cool of the evening.

Victoria Falls

Located on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe, Victoria Falls is the largest waterfall in the world and one of the Seven Natural Wonders. 650 million litres of water crash into the chasm below from the Zambezi River, raising persistent clouds of spray and deafening noise. It is no wonder that locals refer to the falls as Mosi-oa-Tunya, meaning ‘the smoke that thunders’. Take in the magnificence of the waterfall, first from the Zambian side where you will be bathed in the mighty spray, then from the Zimbabwean side, where various viewpoints bring you breath-taking sights of the waterfall. Walk through the misty rainforests which flank the falls and stop by at the Main Falls, Horseshoe Falls, Rainbow Falls and more to be awed by this spectacular natural wonder.
After lunch, take part in an Elephant Encounter tour at Wild Horizons Elephant Sanctuary and Orphanage. Learn about the conservation efforts of the sanctuary and the stories of the rescued and resident elephants who live here from the guides who care for them. Meet and interact with the gentle giants for yourself and gain a deeper appreciation for the majestic creature and the people who have dedicated their lives to saving them.

This morning take a flight to Cape Town where your first stop will be the iconic Table Mountain. The flat-topped mountain which overlooks the city is a haven of flora and fauna with many species that can only be found here. Voted as one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature, the mountain is flanked by Devil’s Peak and Lion’s Head, creating an impressive mountain range. If weather permits, you will take a cable car up to the top of the mountain for some impressive views.

The mountain ranges and elevated areas of the Winelands create a great climate for producing fantastic wines and it is here that you can replenish your personal wine collection with fine South African wines. Take your wine enjoyment up a notch with a wine blending tour where you can create your own special blend of wine with the help of professional winemakers!
After lunch, spend some free time exploring Franschhoek, a valley surrounded by majestic mountains in the heart of the Winelands and the ‘food and wine’ capital of South Africa. Stroll along the charming streets lined with colonial-style buildings and pop into the many shops and specialist stores here.

Tour around Cape Peninsula today, the jewel of Cape Town with pristine beaches, rugged coastal scenes, and sparkling blue waters. Head down through the Atlantic suburbs, Sea Point, Clifton and Camps Bay to Hout Bay, a charming fishing village. Continuing down Chapman’s Peak Drive, you will be treated to one of the most spectacular coastal drives in the world. Travel down through the scenic Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and ascend Cape Point, the southernmost tip of the cape, for a stunning view of the coast. Stop by at Boulders Beach, home to a colony of cute African penguins, before passing through the old naval base of Simon’s Town.

Take to the skies in a short helicopter tour of Cape Town today! Get an aerial view of all the sights like the Green Point Stadium, the famous beaches of Clifton, the white sands of Camps Bay and the Twelve Apostles mountain range.
Later, visit the famous Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden at the base of Table Mountain. Part of the Cape Floral Kingdom, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, over 2,500 species of South African plants can be found here. As you stroll through the different gardens and admire the varieties of plants, you will see why this is considered one of the best botanical gardens in the world.
Do some shopping afterwards at Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, a commercial, residential and entertainment district located in South Africa’s oldest working harbour. The myriad of shops, eateries, museums and more will keep you busy for hours!
End off your trip with a memorable dinner at Fyn, a fusion restaurant which will challenge your assumptions of contemporary cuisine. Awarded the title of Africa’s best restaurant and named one of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2022, experience a gastronomic adventure with your final meal here.
