Later, you will check in early to join in the festivities at the Lake Akan Ice Festival! Held on the frozen surface of the lake each winter, there are activities such as ice carving, games, performances showcasing the Ainu culture and more to entertain you. Next, dig into some of Hokkaido’s bountiful seafood at Kushiro’s Washo Market. Try their famous “katte-don” a seafood rice bowl that you can customise. Browse the stalls and pick your favourite toppings from the selection of fresh seafood caught off the shores of Kushiro before tucking in!
