Arriving in Hokkaido this morning, your first stop will be to see the beautiful nature at Lake Utonai. A designated Ramsar Wetland of International Importance, the lake is a “paradise for wild birds” and is home to 260 kinds of waterfowl, making it the perfect spot for bird watching!
Warm your tummies with a hearty feast of barbequed meats at Log House Wagyu Bibi Restaurant before travelling to Tokachi where its abundant natural resources have earned it the nickname of Japan’s “candy kingdom”. It is no wonder that Hokkaido’s most popular sweets maker, Ryugetsu Sweetpia Garden, is located here. Using local ingredients, the factory here produces the famous souvenir, Sanporoku, and other delicious confections that are hard to resist!

One of the best parts of travelling is the joy of meeting and interacting with the locals. Today, feel the warmth and passion of the locals in our special Tokachi Activity Day. The pastoral landscapes of Tokachi is the best place to see the real Hokkaido with its fertile farmlands and sprawling fields.
This evening, have a relaxing soak in the moor hot spring. Known as the hot spring of beauty, this therapeutic hot spring water is derived from plant matter and can only be found in two places in the world, in Germany and here in Tokachigawa.
Day 03 (Sun, 23 Dec’18)

Hokkaido’s dairy products are well known for their quality and taste and that includes their cheese! The Furano Cheese Factory is where you can learn about the cheese making process and Hokkaido dairy products and sample some of the different cheeses available. Beyond just watching how cheese is made, you will also get to try your hand at making some delicious cheese yourself!
Day 04 (Mon, 24 Dec’18)

You will have a free day today to enjoy all the snow activities available to you at the resort! Hit the slopes and go skiing or bring out the child in you at Furano’s Family Snowland where thrilling rides on banana boats, snow mobiles and snow rafts await! For those looking to spend the day in a more relaxing way, pay a visit to Ningle Terrace, a charming group of log houses that are home to cosy cafes and local craft shops.

Day 05 (Tue, 25 Dec’18)
Furano – Sapporo

Head to Otaru and spend the morning wandering round its quaint streets. A former major herring centre and the terminal station for Hokkaido’s first railroad, the charming buildings that line the streets now house whimsical music box museums, patisseries selling mouth-watering creations, and intricate glassware ornaments. Also worth checking out is Otaru’s sushi street, where only the freshest seafood makes it to the menu in every sushi restaurant along the row.
Moving on to Sapporo, visit the Sapporo Curb Market, a collection of nearly 80 stores outside Sapporo’s central wholesale market. Specialising in seafood, and you can get some of the freshest ones here. Try some of the seasonal offerings from the various stalls and pick up some Hokkaido souvenirs.

A free and easy day in Sapporo awaits you! As Japan’s fifth largest city, Sapporo has developed rapidly into a bustling metropolis. Options for shopping are abundant, both above and underground, with multi-storey department stores such as Daimaru and Esta lining the streets, and a network of stores offering souvenirs, apparel, footwear, cosmetics, electronics, and more, underground. When you are satisfied with your shopping spree, stop by at the Ramen Republic for a steaming bowl of Hokkaido’s signature miso ramen to complete your Hokkaido experience.
