Day 01
Singapore – Nagoya – Hamamatsu

Arriving in Nagoya today, have a sumptuous lunch of Nagoya’s signature dish, grilled eel on rice. Satisfied from your meal, head on to Hamamatsu Fruit Park for some mikan picking! The sweet Japanese oranges are in season and you can enjoy picking and eating them straight at the farm.
Following that, explore the depths of Ryugashido Cave, a 1,064-metre-long limestone cave that is 250 million years old. Access to the cave is via a 400-metre-long walking path that brings you to the stalagmites and stalactites that cover the cave. A 30-metre-tall Grand Golden Waterfall within the cave will catch your eye with its water spray shining like gold in the cave lighting.
Day 02
Hamamatsu

Not typically associated with Japan, you can find up to 80 varieties of kiwi fruit at Kiwi Fruits Country Japan. Try the different types of kiwi fruit and learn about them at Japan’s largest kiwi fruit farm.
Next, interact with adorable birds at Kakegawa Kachoen. At this bird park and flower garden, different kinds of birds fly free, giving you opportunities to get close to them and even feed them. At the same time, admire beautiful flowers that bloom year-round in the temperature controlled greenhouse.
Spend the afternoon walking round Kakegawa City, a beautiful castle town with numerous historical buildings. Walking is part of the culture in this town and Japanese style sidewalks spread throughout the streets. The quiet town is a pleasant place to walk in and enjoy the “slow life” charm of the area along with its traditional buildings such as the unique wooden castle.
Day 03
Hamamatsu – Nihondaira

Walk along the gorgeous Sumata Gorge today and soak in the sights of nature around you. Thrilling suspension bridges span the valley over azure blue water while autumn colours light up the trees in fiery red hues, creating fantastic scenery that will take your breath away.
Day 04
Nihondaira – Mt Fuji – Nihondaira

Today’s walk will bring you round none other than Mt Fuji! A UNESCO World Heritage Site and Japan’s iconic peak, the beloved mountain is a must see for visitors to Japan. Take a nature walk in the forest surrounding the mountain and get a close view of the magnificent mountain as you immerse yourself in the refreshing autumn scenes of nature.
After seeing Mt Fuji on your walk, learn more about its history and importance at the Fujisan World Heritage Center. Aside from providing information about the mountain and surrounding areas, the exhibits here also give you a 360-degree view of Mt Fuji and displays artworks inspired by the scared mountain.
Day 05
Nihondaira – Ito

Another UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Japan’s New Three Views, Miho no Matsubara will be the first stop for today. The black sand on the seashore here contrasts against the green pine trees and blue sea, creating a picture-perfect scene with a fabulous view of Mt Fuji and the Izu Peninsula across the bay.
At 400 metres, the Mishima Skywalk is the longest pedestrian-only suspension bridge in Japan. From here you can see Japan’s highest peak, Mt Fuji, and Japan’s deepest bay, Suruga Bay, along with nature views spreading as far as the eye can see.
Later, walk around the peaceful town of Shuzenji Onsen. The oldest hot spring town in Izu, it is home to Shuzenji Temple, an important cultural property, and many other historical sights. The rich history and traditional beauty of the town make it an attractive place for an afternoon stroll.
Day 06
Ito

Shaped like an upside-down bowl, Mt Omuro is an extinct volcano covered in mountain grass with a 300-metre-wide crater. Take a chair lift up the mountain to stroll round the crater and be treated to 360-degree panoramic views of the surroundings which include Mt Fuji, Hakone and the seven islands of Izu.
In the afternoon, take a sightseeing boat around Dogashima, the best way to see the area’s fantastic stone formations, cliffs and caves, formed over many years by volcanic eruptions and erosion by the sea. Sail into Tensodo Cave, a large cave with aquamarine blue water reflecting on the walls and a big hole in the ceiling from which the rays of sunlight stream through.
Day 07
Ito – Tokyo

Walk on part of the historical Tokaido road that connected Tokyo and Kyoto during the Edo period today. The Hakone Kyukaido retains its old charm in most parts with rustic stone-paved trails through tranquil cedar forests. Walk the well-worn paths and get a little feel of history as you make your way along the old road.
Afterwards, take the Hakone ropeway up to Owakudani, a crater formed from the eruption of Mt Hakone around 3000 years ago. See the sulphurous fumes, hot springs and rivers on the mountain and admire the splendid view of Mt Fuji from here.
