Arriving in Barcelona this morning, start your holiday with a visit to Sagrada Família. In construction since 1882, this unfinished basilica is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and architectural masterpiece of Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí. Another of Gaudí’s works that you will visit is Park Güell where fantastic designs and elements were birthed from his imagination. Initially commissioned as a private space, the land was later bought over by the government and turned into a public park.

Today you will visit some of the vineyards and wineries of Viñedos y Bodegas Sierra Cantabria, highly regarded wine makers in the Rioja wine region. See how their highly rated wines are produced with care starting from grape cultivation and taste some of these exquisite wines for yourself. Later, pay a visit to Laguardia, a picture-perfect walled town that has not changed much since the 13th century. Surrounded by vineyards and mountains, you will have a very special vineyard experience this evening at Bodegas Valdelana where wine is paired not just with food, but with the constellations above.

Dive into the world of Basque cider at the Igartubeiti Farmhouse Museum, a preserved 17th century farmhouse and cider mill. Besides stepping back into history to see how life and cider production was like, you will also get to experience making your own cider to the rhythm of traditional Basque songs before having lunch at a cider house.
Heading into the nearby San Sebastian, a city along the coast with a picturesque shoreline enhanced by hilly surroundings, take a stroll around its famous Old Town where you will indulge in a delicious pintxos dinner.

Take a trip out to the coastal village of Getaria, known for a surprising mix of fisheries, wineries and high fashion. Discover how anchovies and sardines are prepared and canned in a visit to the handcrafted cannery of Maisor and taste some of Getaria's delicious sea products. As the hometown of the renowned fashion designer, this is where you will also visit the world-class Cristóbal Balenciaga Museum where 1,200 pieces of his works are housed. Stop by at Mount Igueldo on the way back to San Sebastian where you can get splendid views of the city.

Tour around Bilbao today, one of Spain’s largest metropolitan areas, and explore its Old Town of atmospheric quarters over 700 years old. On the edge of the Nervion River stands the Guggenheim Museum, a stunning modern art museum whose spectacular structure made of titanium, glass and limestone will definitely alter the way you think about museums. Take a private boat ride down the river to the coast and see the Vizcaya Bridge, the world’s first transporter bridge and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Try some unique wines today on a visit to an underwater winery. The wines here are aged in an underwater cellar, which also serves as an artificial reef, resulting in a different taste compared to those aged on land. After lunch, go for a walk to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, an island located off the coast of the Bay of Biscay. Connected to the mainland by a bridge and one of the world’s grandest staircases, this majestic island is a must-visit in the area. Refuel again at dinner at yet another one Michelin star restaurant where you will taste the best fish in Bilbao and Biscay.

Make a stop at Santander, the capital of Cantabria and “bride of the sea”, whose sandy beaches and lush mountains make it a scenic destination. Then, visit the Neocave, a replica of the Cave of Altamira, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where Europe’s first prehistoric cave paintings were found. As access to the caves are restricted for preservation, a reproduction was created at the Altamira National Museum. Nearby is Santillana del Mar, a charming medieval town along The Pilgrim's Route to Santiago de Compostela which holds historical importance in Cantabria.

Make a trip out to the ancient city of Girona where you can admire its fantastic medieval architecture and well-preserved Jewish quarters. Should the historic sights you come across look familiar, it is because this was a filming location for Game of Thrones.
Move on to the medieval towns of Peratallada and Pals in the coastal region of Costa Brava. Picturesque small towns rich in history and culture, each boasts its own beautifully restored stone streets and unique architectural sights. Afterwards, head to the beach town of Calella de Palafrugell whose whitewashed houses and rocky coves make it particularly attractive. Enjoy the scenic coastal views as you take a walk along Camino de Ronda, an inter-town coastal trail.
